Solid Gold:
Solid Gold was the preeminent Canadian independent record label during the
1980's. The label features the hit recordings of Chilliwack, the Headpins,
Toronto and others and includes such titles as "My Girl, Gone, Gone, Gone",
"Whatcha Gonna Do", "Don't It Make Ya Feel", and "Turn It Loud", all of
which made the U.S. charts. "Your Daddy Don't Know", "Looking For Trouble",
"Girls Night Out" and "Mine All Mine" each topped Canadian charts and
received significant airplay in numerous foreign territories.
For a number of years recordings by The Headpins, Chilliwack, Toronto and
others were unavailable to the public. They have now been re-released into
the market by Solid Gold. Titles such as "My Girl (Gone Gone Gone)" and
"Don't It Make Ya Feel" are classic recordings that find new popularity with
each new generation.
